I found this book to be extremely fascinating and well written. Ed Martin draws you into his personal journey, openly sharing his very human feelings, discoveries and excitement. He writes with a genuine warmth that makes you wish you were traveling along with him, not only to share the experience but to hear him tell you first hand about his life. His travels through Afghanistan and India in search of more information about Jmmanuel's (known to us as Jesus) years spent in India are pure adventure. He intersperses tales of his unusual and touching experiences growing up. Great photos compliment the story and Ed's love of travel and freedom surely make him a King of Kravelers as well.

This was an interesting adventure book, I couldn't put it down, and I highly recommend it. One of my favorite parts of the book deals with the book "The Talmud of Jmmanuel" which I had the opportunity to read a few years ago. If your into real Adventure Stories, UFO's and Jesus's(Jmmanuel) Lost Years, then this book is for you.

From its very first page to its last, this book will hold your attention and be very difficult to put down. Ed Martin tells of his first-hand quest for information about Jesus' "lost" years in India undertaken while he was in the Peace Corps in Afghanistan. His investigations confirm that the traditions are still very much alive that place the young Jesus in India for many years, with his having traveled there and back to Palestine along the Silk Road route. Interspersed with Martin's findings are his own interesting experiences, which include many photographs and scenic views from his mountaineering trips. During this quest Martin learns about the Talmud of Jmmanuel document, which gives the true story behind the ministry and teachings of the man known as Jmmanuel (alias Jesus), and allows us to understand the origins of Christianity. The book contains 8 chapters and 48 photos.

I liked the story because it's a really good book and it's the best story I read. It's a really loving story. It has a very happy ending.

This is a lovely book written with delicacy and tenderness. It's a story about a story as told by a little girl and her mommy. Charlotte and her mother are taking a few moments in a quiet afternoon to tell each other their favorite story: the story of how they came to "adopt" a cold, wet, and hungry kitten late one night on a stormy beach near their house. As Charlotte and her mommy discuss how their story goes, it is told with such tender emotion that it tugs at the heartstrings. Waddell has captured the innocence and delicacy of the four year old child and the strong bond between mother and child. Paintings by Christian Birmingham are soft and painterly in muted colors that recall early impressionism and are a fine accompaniament for this story.

Kristy team has a softball game and when they are on there way home Charlie can not see where he is going. He takes the wrong way he crosses over a bridge. A storm is going on at the same time. when they cross over the bridge the bridge falls down. kristy and Bart's team have to spend this night at a old house that they think is hauted. will they make it though the night? Find out when you read this great book

Kristy and the haunted mansion is one of the best baby-sitters club books that I have read so far. I love baby-sitters club because it's always an adventure to experience. Kristy and her softball team got stuck in a thunderstorm and had to sleep in a big spooky mansion on sayer road. they snoop around and find out a lot of stuff about the people who used to live there and even met one of them. But they survived the night. The members of the baby-sitters club threw a party for Kristy when she got back to Stoneybrook.

Kristy and the Haunted Mansion is really worth reading. It's so good, and I like that Kristy and the Krashers' night is so creepy, and mysterious. Read it, and you won't regret it!

Marianne Martin is a bodacious author! Sage Bristo is so enticing, alluring, HOT, HOT, HOT! - on paper no less! LEGACY left me breathless for more. Luckily I had NEVER ENDING readily available. YES! , I believe in love! And always will!

I'm looking for Sage Bristo!!!! I'm spoiled now. I am wishing I had a woman who would talk to me like that! Realistically, when I feel the need I guess I'll have to read Legacy again. First, though, I'm waiting impatiently to get my hands on the sequel Never Ending.

But to say only that Legacy of Love and the main character is sexy doesn't do the author justice. Marianne Martin is a fine writer and this book I hesitate to call merely a romance. Martin moves her readers quickly through a gamut of emotions with bright dialogue and just the right amount of tension. She has a writing style that keeps you reading hungrily and characters you won't forget.

I am about to devour her other two books, Love in the Balance and Dawn of the Dance, while I'm waiting. Marianne Martin is now at the top of my 'must read' list.

Yes, finally! A main character that's all of that-succesful, lesbian, and Native American! And not only that. She is developed in a wonderfully well-written tale of love. As a Native American I have suffered for years without a heroine I can claim. Martin has written me a treasure.

if i could take only two photography books to my desert island, they'd be "Jeanloup Sieff : 40 Years of Photography," plus Lillian Bassman's relatively thin -- yet sensually-overloading -- volume. what a crime her work is not widely known. hers truly are impressionist photographs at their absolute finest, dripping with lushness and yet extreme fragility. they seem to float dreamlike around us and about us, offering a glimpse into that most rarefied world: the strange ethereal galaxy of a french fashion model of the 40s and 50s, bathed in moonlight and wrapped in jazz. god these are beautiful pictures.

Lillian Bassman treats every photograph as though it were a canvas. With her selective toning and bleaching, it's hard to believe many of these images are photos. Her work in fashion was groundbreaking.

Lillian Bassman is a well known fashion photographer of the 40's and 50's. Her work is glamorous and visually exciting. The photos in this collection are a combination of photography and other artistic tools which give them an almost otherworldly feel. The book is oversized, which makes many of the pictures big enough for framing which is exactly what I intend to do. There is also a short biography of her career which continues through today. A very good buy overall.

This book is one of inspiration and courage... it is one you can not put down... The events these men went through makes you realize what you have in life and how friendship really can overcome all obstacles... I recommend this book to everyone... once your done reading, the triumph of all vetrans will stay in your heart and mind for a lifetime!

This book is EXCELLENT! It is one you won't be able to put down... It is remarkable that this is a true story it just shows what our soldiers have truly done for our freedom... This book is one of inspiration and courage... and once your through you will look at life in a whole new perspective!

This was a very inspirational book, about a man who had to sacrafice alot for this great country of ours! The tellings of what he had to go through, and how those friends, he met along the way, helped him get through it all, is just very touching! It tells apart of our history not many people know about, and gives the deserved recognition to those men who fought in the Korean War. It certainly deserves 5 stars! I could not put it down, once I started reading it!

I have a four year old son and he was so excited to do the crafts in this book. We started the day we got it and it has been wonderful. All of the projects use simple household items and are simple yet fun. No Martha Stewarts required! I am buying 3 more for friends and to donate to the preschool we attend. ENJOY!!

This is such a great book. The story is so cute about a little bug trying to find who he is. I think it helps teach kids that everyone is different and special. The illistrations are wonderful as well. I think it's a very captivating book for all ages. My daughter is only 2 and she enjoys listening to it and looking at the neat pictures. And of course it caputred my heart, why else would I write a great review!? :O)

When I found out I was pregnant I called my mom to see if she still had this book from my childhood...I HAD TO HAVE IT!! It was a gift to me from my great aunt (a schoolteacher) - and I wanted to have it to read to my child. There are only a couple of books that left lasting impressions on me - this one is at the top of that list. Now I am looking for another copy as the one I have is falling apart!

This was probably my favorite book when I was very little...it has a good message and is very creative, both in writing and illustrations. I have searched endlessly for a copy and finally found one (unbelievably) at an auction. Needless to say, I was completely thrilled. I'm sorry it is out of print..would like to have copies for my grandchildren.

My mother read me this book when I was 2or 3.This book is so creative. the story is about a little lightning bug that has lost his light inthe lattern thathe carries on his backside. He climbs a blade of grass to talk to the moon about giving him some light for his lattern.I will never forget this book.I cannot find it anywhere.Thanks carol
